Healthcare is a cornerstone of HireArt’s employment offering. It reflects our commitment to our workforce and is an essential component of the high-quality service we deliver to our clients.
This change is part of our ongoing commitment to give workers more flexibility, choice, and control over their benefits.
We believe the ICHRA model offers our team greater flexibility, choice, and potential for improved coverage in today’s marketplace.
ICHRA (Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement) is a benefits model that allows employers to contribute tax-free dollars toward employees’ individual health insurance premiums.
Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs) have experienced rapid growth over the past few years, largely because they address long-standing challenges while offering a traditional group health insurance alternative.
Employers have been facing relentless premium increases and unpredictable renewals, while their workforces have become more flexible, remote, and geographically dispersed.
ICHRAs allow companies to set aside a tax-free allowance for employees to purchase their own ACA-compliant health plans. This creates predictable costs for the employer and greater choice for the employee.
For employees, ICHRAs are appealing because they offer control, portability, and personalization.
Workers can choose the plan that fits their needs and location, and they can easily keep that coverage even if their job changes.
Instead of offering a one-size-fits-all group plan, HireArt will reimburse you for the individual plan you choose. This way, every person can make their choice based on their preferences, budget, and location.
You pick the plan. We help pay for it.
Traditional group health plans no longer align with the modern, flexible work arrangements that are prevalent today.
We know that our workforce is different. We built HireArt to evolve and remain adaptable to all kinds of employment challenges.
It includes employees and contractors across multiple states and projects, with assignments that vary in length and timing.
Group health plans often come with geographic restrictions, high premiums, and rigid eligibility rules.
With ICHRA, we can:
This shift reflects our vision for a benefits model built for the future of work. We want it to remain dynamic, distributed, and worker-centric.
You’ll have access to support tools and one-on-one guidance to help you compare plans and complete your enrollment.
1. Is ICHRA the same as a group health plan?
No. With ICHRA, you buy your own individual plan instead of joining a group plan. HireArt reimburses you for your premiums.
2. Do I have to use the funds for health insurance?
Yes. ICHRA reimbursements in HireArts plan must go toward ACA-compliant health insurance premiums.
3. Can I use ICHRA with my spouse’s plan?
You can’t use ICHRA funds to pay for someone else’s employer-sponsored plan, but you can apply funds toward an individual or family plan purchased on the exchange.
4. What about premium tax credits?
If you’re eligible for HireArt’s ICHRA, you typically won’t qualify for premium tax credits on the exchange. However, the HireArt contribution is designed to offer equivalent or better support.
5. Can I include dependents?
Yes! You can select a plan that includes dependents and apply your ICHRA funds toward family coverage.
6. Will I still have dental and vision coverage?
Yes. HireArt will continue offering voluntary dental and vision options through Guardian.
