Schedule options: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM or 2:30 PM–1:00 AM
Contract length: 1-year full-time contract
Location: Dallas, TX (in-person)
What you’ll do:
You’ll be the safety-first human in the loop—an integral part of autonomous vehicle success.
You’ll be helping a leading autonomous vehicle and delivery robot company test and improve their technology while keeping every ride safe and smooth.
- Operate autonomous vehicles safely and lawfully during in-field testing
- Stay alert and ready to take action when needed (no distractions, ever)
- Run daily vehicle readiness and safety checks before shifts
- Interact professionally with riders, engineers, and operations leads
- Submit clear, detailed reports that help improve the system
Who this is great for
This role is a strong fit if you’re a confident driver who takes ownership and stays calm under pressure. This is an especially good fit for drivers with the following experience:
- Rideshare or delivery driving (Uber/Lyft/DoorDash, etc.)
- Autonomous vehicle operation
- A mix of professional driving plus technical/IT experience
Requirements (at a glance)
- Valid US driver’s license for 3+ years
- Clean driving record (no DUI/drug/alcohol-related offenses in last 5 years)
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- If you have an Uber Driver account, it must be in good standing
