Job Description

HireArt is helping the world's largest social network find a Community Operations Specialist to investigate and enforce integrity issues by applying subject matter expertise on how abuse manifests in VR. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of related experience. 

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), 1-year contract position. Candidates must be able to cover weekend shifts on rotation, with the option to choose two days off during the week. This role will transition to be 100% on-site once the Sunnyvale office reopens. There is potential for the office to move to Burlingame, so candidates local to the Bay Area with the ability to commute to both locations are preferred. 

As Community Operations Specialist, you will: 

  • Investigate and enforce integrity issues by applying subject matter expertise on how abuse manifests in VR. 
  • Enforce community standards and policies to help foster a safe culture in VR. 
  • Provide key insights/trends such as policy violation prevalence, false positives, and emerging conduct/content abuse trends. 
  • Gain expert familiarity in various social experience apps and their integrity features. 
  • Remain up to date on key workflow changes, operational guidelines, and policy updates.
  • Assist with testing new/existing reporting features in VR and submit bug reports for issues, where applicable.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Prior community moderation/support experience
  • Proficient in data tools, advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledgeable about VR and social experiences (e.g. Rec Room, VR Chat)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with policy
  • Proficiency in another language (Spanish, French, or German)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often high pressured environment
  • Passion for user integrity and safety
  • Strong time management skills
